With the passing of our Vice President, Eric has offered to step up, filling the role.

This then leaves the position of Club Secretary open. Here are two views of the secretary.

From the bylaws

Secretary shall maintain accurate minutes of all meetings including Executive Committee minutes and carry out whatever correspondence is necessary between our chapter and the Federation of Flyfishers, and other correspondence as directed by the President. The Secretary shall act as Vice President in the absence or resignation of the vice president until a special election is held.

What we have been doing

• Schedule and host Executive Committee meetings (with agendas sent before meetings).
• Maintain notes and distribute after Executive Committee meeting
• Monthly meetings
  • Agenda and slides for monthly meetings
  • Maintain, set-up, and operate as needed audio visual equipment used in monthly meetings as well as other events
• Other items as needed
• Note: Have not been doing the “carry out whatever correspondence is necessary between our chapter and the Federation of Flyfishers” as stated in the bylaws
