Taylor Guest, TFF's Saltwater Outings Chairman, will lead a trip on Sat, April 30th to Lost Lake and Lost River Marsh for boaters and kayakers. Chetumal Fishing Trip: Sept 28-Oct 4 (Quintana Roo, Mexico) Ron Mayfield is putting together another trip to Chetumal Bay - one of the last unexplored bay systems on the Yucatan Peninsula.  Chetumal Bay is south of Ascension Bay and Espritu Santo Bay and offers the same type of fly fishing opportunities - grand slams and even super slams in one day (bonefish, tarpon, permit and snook).  If you are interested, please contact Ron Mayfield at southsideflycasting@gmail.com for details.  He needs to know by April 15th to guarantee the reservations.  There are only 5 slots still open for this trip. Harmon Creek March 11-13 Trip Report

March 11-13 Harmon Creek Trip Report: Our annual Harmon Creek White Bass weekend was a huge success.  Cold weather, lots of fish, and great camaraderie. We caught white bass, black bass, yellow bass, buffalo fish, and fresh water drum.  Also consumed lots of great food.  Weather was a little on the cold side in the mornings, but warmed up quite nicely by the afternoon

Our next in person meeting of the Texas Fly Fishers is Tuesday March 29 @ 7:00 pm. Mendenhall Community Center 1414 Wirt Road Doors are open ~6:30 pm for fellowship and swapping fish stories. This month we are glad to welcome Scott Osborne as our featured speaker. Scott Osborne, the US Representative for Avalon Outdoor, has been involved in fly fishing destination travel for the better part of a decade. He is enthusiastic about sharing the uniqueness of Cuba and spreading the word of conservation and amazing saltwater fly fishing opportunities to people everywhere.
