This month we will have “Puck” talk to us about the plentiful saltwater panfish we have available here in our Texas Waters. At the Trini Mendenhall Comm Center, 1414 Wirt Road, Houston, TX 77055 with thte room available to us at 1700 hrs.
We also plan to have some fly tying before the meeting. If we are lucky, we can have a “give-away” table set up. Or should we use the table and the stuff on it as “door prizes?”

Below is “Puck’s” bio:
I have been formally involved with Texas FlyFishers since 2005, when I moved to Texas from South Carolina. I was a member of the Palmetto Fly Fishers there and the transition to the Texas FlyFishers was extremely easy, since I had made a few meetings, and attended some of the same events that some of the Texas FlyFishers also attended.
So far I have served as Freshwater Outings Chair, Saltwater Outings Chair, Vice-President, and now President.
If you’ve been to the meetings, you’ve seen that I am known for SCE flies. I’ll sit there before the club meetings and tie, while steadily carrying on multiple conversations. Yes, I do tie the SCE yellow spider.
I am not a purist, and will use whatever fly will work, not just the recommended ones.
I will fish for any species that the club chases, and plan to participate in multiple Texas FlyFishers outings while at home in Texas.
Today I want to talk about those overlooked saltwater fish that I like to target, the Saltwater Panfishes.

Puck, This is the same date as our PACK mtg. Have y’all moved to the 3rd Tuesday of the month?
Dave Garza
For now we have this date. There is a story behind it. We are looking for another meeting location for 2026.
