The annual Padre Island National Seashore fishing trip was sparsely attended, but very successful.
Nobody got skunked.
Driving conditions were ideal.

Boats and kayaks can easily fish the area.
Meet at the launch 30 minutes after sunrise to allow the vampires to go to bed. About 0715.

TFF 2018 Bolivar saltwater trip stories
Bill Leary and Mike Green started from Stingaree Thursday morning at 10:00 AM.
As the house was Available to us early Thursday, the rest started showing up at Thursday afternoon at the Beach house “Playn Hooky” to set up sleeping arrangements and do some basic organizing. By Friday afternoon, all the beds were filled, as well as the couches and recliner.

Skinny redfish crack
This has been one of my more effective flies for the Galveston Bay. So far 5 species have come to hand while I used it.
League City Tying Team, rescheduled
Cabela’s is proud to host the League City Tying Team, made up of members from the Texas FlyFishers, Fly Fishers International, and other local anglers. Come join the group at the table and learn about methods, techniques, and tools, as it relates to tying fish for our local Texas waters. Talk around the table almost always gets into fishing, so feel free to ask questions.
The theme for September 24th is “Redfish flies.”
We will have room for a dozen or so tyers, with room for others to join in.
Start time is 2:00pm and we plan to tie until about 4:00pm held at
Cabela’s @ 2421 S Gulf Fwy., League City, TX 77573
