Texas FlyFishers of Houston Event:  South Llano River float trip
When:     28-29 June, 2019
Where:       171 KC 150, Junction, Tx

Float the South Llano River, targeting Guadalupe Bass, Rio Grand Perch, and feisty sunfish.

Limited to 10 spots in the cabins.  Deposit for lodging locks the spot.  
Tent camping is still available, and encouraged.

I don’t plan to send the E-vite out, but the Evite Link  is active.   Please use it, as it makes it easier for me to track. See below to reserve your spot in a cabin.  River conditions need to be checked a few days before the event.

End Time:    Sunday at noon, or as close to it as we can get.

Event: Guadalupe One Fly

“All,
Unfortunately due to the continued 600cfs flow rate on the river, we will have to postpone the trip once again. The water levels are not conducive to bringing a group to the river and fishing safely. Of course they could change the flows tomorrow but its just not predictable. i even called Action angler to find out info and they are in the dark also regarding the output from the dam. We will discuss an alternative date at the club meeting next Tuesday night. I believe there are still 1 or 2 guides available to float the river this weekend (which is much safer) so if you want info let me know.
Notwithstanding, i will be up there this weekend (as already cancelled last week and i dont have too many weekends left before the family arrive back from the UK) so will be at Lucky`s on Friday evening as planned (7pm) if anyone would like to join me. I will probably fish on Saturday if i can find any decent water.

Guadalupe bust

Tracy and I went up to Sattler on Saturday and were going to stay until Tuesday and fish the Guadalupe. We fished Saturday afternoon at Maricopa and Sunday at DeLoach. We only saw one  fish caught the whole time. The flows were high and the water somewhat stained. Wind and rain were the orders of the day. By Sunday night, I found Tracy had given me the cold she had been fighting all week, so with our tails between our legs and my head feeling like a football, we left a day early and headed back to Richmond. Hopefully, the outing on the 16th will be more productive.
