The COVID-19 is still rampant, we are watching, but done waiting.  Restrictions have eased here in Texas.  We still need to practice good sanitary practices, but we have now been able to schedule our event. 20th June, 2020. This will be THE Family Friendly Fishing Event of 2020.

These lakes hold largemouth bass, tiger bass, catfish, black crappie, and bluegill. Catching bass in the three to five pound range is a normal occurance. Twelve pound bass and channel cats and twelve inch bream have been caught in the last three years

Perfect weather to get out of the house so I made a quick trip to Damon 7 Lakes. It turns out that I was not the only one with that thought.  MK and Skip D., Nate C., Dick K., Jerry B., Mark, and many others were there.

The reason I still consider this trip exceptional is that all but one of the bass were caught on topwaters, either … Continue reading Quick trip to Damon 7 Lakes, 2018-01-31

60 people showed up for the event. The wind made casting a challenge and the water was a little cooler than expected, so the bite was slow. Reports of LMB up to 6lbs were reported, but I don't have pictures in hand.

If it rains, we may get our hair wet, but we are still going fishing. No rain dates.  This is it.  2016-04-09-0700 Link to the Event I plan to set up at the picnic table area for sign-in and coffee.  Bring your coffee cup, D7Ls waiver, TFF waiver, and day fee ($40) and I'll tell you where … Continue reading Update on the JSSFS as of 2016-03-24-1200
