All of us arrived just before 0830 hours. The weather was clear, but cool. Very little to no wind as we launched. We didn’t go very far, as one of the boats had motor issues.
13 small speckled trout landed between 2 boats and four people. Not exactly hot and heavy, but enough to keep up on the water until about 1400.
All the speckled trout were caught on a fly. The flies that worked were small, less that 2″ and shiny. Working them slow at the drop-off seemed to be the ticket.

The game warden was waiting at the launch, welcoming us back and asking about our success, or lack thereof.
While we were preparing to leave we talked to other anglers, and some of the live bait guys didn’t even get a bite.
I’m seriously considering going again soon.
You have a boat? Imagine that. A kayak or canoe is not a BOAT! Watercraft yes, boat no!LOL. Good report Puck! Good to see Mike on the water. Hope his knee is doing much better.
