Michael Joseph Arnold January 9, 1945 – December 16, 2025
Michael J. Arnold, 80, of Pearland Texas, died peacefully at St. Dominic’s Village on December 16, 2025.
Mike was born in Chicago, IL in 1945 to Margaret and Harold Arnold and spent his childhood in the Houston area. Upon graduating from St. Thomas High School he enlisted in the Air Force and proudly served his country in the Vietnam conflict. After his time in the Air Force he earned a business degree from the University of Houston and established Michael J. Arnold and Company. With the exception of his family, the two things Mike loved most in life were his martial arts community, in which he was a respected sensei and a 7th degree black belt in Shorin Ryu Karate, and Damon 7 Lakes, his private fishing club.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Harold and his brother Bill. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his son Matt and his wife Shanda and granddaughter Lexi; his daughter Jenny and her husband Jordan; his brother John and wife Carolyn; his brothers Pete and Tommy; his sister Peggy; his sister Midge and her husband Ernie; his sister in law Pat; his nieces and nephews; and his beloved Karate family.
A celebration of life will be held on January 10, 2026 at Damon Seven Lakes, starting at noon.
So sad for us when the good guys leave. May his family find comfort knowing he is in a better place
I enjoyed knowing Mike. He shared his lunch with me quite often and was a good friend. I miss him
