I just returned from Lake George, Colorado, where I spent 3 days trout fishing the South Platte with friends from the Altar Fly Fishing Ministry. We had a marvelous time in God’s creation at 8500 feet. The temps were in the low 60’s until around lunch when it would warm up to the blazing hot, upper 70’s. Quite a difference from the 100* heat of Houston. 
The fishing was mediocre as the trout get very stressed when water temps hit 70*. This happened about every day after lunch, so most of the fishing took place in the early morning hours. Everybody in our group caught quality fish, though. I have attached a few photos, but an iPhone 7 camera doesn’t do justice to the amazing scenery. The last photo is a panoramic and gives a better impression of the country.

Hi John. I know that it is a bit unusual, but I didn’t post fish pics because I didn’t land anything over 14 inches which is no big thing. I brought several browns and rainbows to the net but haven’t received the pics from my fishing buddies.
Thanks for sharing. The mountains are were you can be in awe.
