June 26, 1936 – October 2, 2019

It is with great sadness to mention the passing of Dave. Long time Texas Flyfishers member passed this morning peacefully in his sleep.

Dave was known for his adventurous tales from his younger days. At TFF events, he would share with me stories about his travels and his love for music.

From his Facebook page and written by his daughters, “Right about now he’s casting his fishing line across a still lake – or maybe out into the surf, doing what he loved best, for eternity. He’s probably thinking about all the upcoming concerts he’ll be attending, listening to his favorite artists singing, forever. Rest in Peace Dave Kelly, June 26, 1936 – October 2, 2019. Dave donated his body to science, that others may benefit, after which his ashes will be scattered at sea. To all Dave’s friends over the years, thank you for friendship. – from his daughters, Lynda and Kerry.”
