JSSFS 2019, report

5 campers sat around the campfire and had way more food than was good for them.

Fishing was good Friday.

Matt was on hand Thursday and Friday, helping get all prepared for the invasion of friends on Saturday.  This event couldn’t have gone so well without his help.

Some loud person decided to yell “Fish On!” at 0500 Saturday morning.

Sign-in started at 0700, with Q, Russell C. and John P. manning the greeter’s table.  Thanks John P. for the kolaches and donuts! Coffee and donuts at the table was a great idea.

Yellow spider seemed to work well, as did many other flies.

VIP popper brought a lot of LMB to hand

28 anglers signed in for the event

At lunch while the food was being prepared the bald eagle made a visit, as did the resident osprey.

We call this the “John Scarborough Sunfish Spectacular” but we just couldn’t keep the bass off of our flies.

Don H. landed the largest confirmable bluegill brought to hand on Saturday, a 10½” monster that was CPR’ed.
