Met with Don H. at the picnic tables at 0940 and was on the water within minutes.
The bite was slow, but dependable. Before 1500 we had landed 12, and missed a few more.
The reason I still consider this trip exceptional is that all but one of the bass were caught on topwaters, either a S1B or a gurgler.

I love gurglers. They’re durable and the move a lot of water. And they’re not too hard to tie.
