The panel of active Texas carp fly anglers did a great job of discussing techniques and challenges related to fishing for carp with the fly. Join the Texas Council and the Fort Worth Fly Fishers for a fun filled day on the Brazos River below Lake Whitney. The outing will take place at Spivey Crossing RV Park on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Many of us will be there on Friday and stay until Sunday. There are 14 RV sites there with water and electric hookups as well as an unlimited number of tent sites. The access to the river is very friendly and can be waded or you can fish from a kayak or canoe.
Texas Council Spring Newsletter
Welcome to the Texas Council!! The Texas Council was formed this fall, as there was a strong desire to unify our state. Texas was divided with the Northern clubs belonging to the Southern Council and the rest of the state belonging to the Gulf Coast Council. A unified state will be beneficial in so many ways. On November the 26th, the Federation of Fly Fishers approved the formation of the Texas Council. The new Council has been off to an excellent start, with the help of so many wonderful, and talented volunteers. Without them, this dream would have never came true.
