Lake Raven day trip, Sept 26. Details to be worked. Fishing can be really good; it can also be very slow. Best time is early in the morning. The campground and lake are very nice...it will be a good paddle.
Fishing for white bass as they run up Harmon Creek out of Lake Livingston on their spring spawn.
The Jan 10-11 outing was postponed due to inclimate weather. LCRA has given us a "credit" to move the reservation to a later date. I am looking at dates near the end of Feb or mid-March. Glen Wells and I took a chance and showed up at the Northshore Boat Launch on Fri, Jan 10. … Continue reading Jan 10th Report: Lake Bastrop – North Shore Park

Fish Lake Bastrop in the winter; Fri/Sat, Feb 28-29. Kayak, canoe, or motorized boat. Three tent campsites have been reserved for Friday, Feb 28th. (#77, #78, #79) LCRA "canvas" tents and cots are available for 12 people (6 tents, 12 cots). We will meet at 6:30 am Fri and Sat at the Northshore boat dock. Pot luck Friday night. (Bring a side dish) Breakfast Sat morning on your own.
Lake Bastrop - Sept 27-29 We will fish Lake Bastrop on Fri, Sat, and probably Sun morning. I have reserved two airstream trailers (Lady Bird and Blue Lacy (60 and 62) ) at Lake Bastrop North Shore Park for Fri and Sat nights. (Sept 28-29) My plan fish in the morning/afternoon on both Fri and Sat (and possibly Sun morning)....explore the whole lake. If you are not interested in camping overnight, come and join us for Fri or Sat or Sun. I have rented two of the campground "Airstream" trailers for Fri and Sat nights. (Lady Bird and Blue Lacy) Each trailer has two queen beds, and can accommodate four (4) people. The total (two day) cost for a spot in the trailer is $125. We will "share" dinner duties (most likely pot luck style), and leave breakfast and lunch up to the individuals. Please sign-up per the below, either via phone call to John Eldred or the Evite link. I will collect the $125 at the time you sign up (or as close as possible). The first eight (8) people to sign up AND pay will fill the trailers. Several of us made a day trip to Lake Bastrop earlier this year, and the lake is very fishable via kayak, canoe, or boat. All are welcome.
Lake Raven: Kayak/Canoe trip. I have reserved a Shelter site (S018) at Huntsville St Park for Fri and Sat nights. (July 12-13) My plan is to fish Friday and Sat, and overnight on both Friday and Sat. Fish in the morning/afternoon on both Fri and Sat....explore the whole lake. You can come Fri, Sat, or both....either spend the night, or just join for the day. Your option. The Shelter can accommodate "tent cots". I will set up my tent on the outside grounds. The site permit allows for eight (8) people. If more are interested, I will reserve individual tent sites and we can use the "shelter" as a common area. I am thinking of a "pot luck" type dinner on Sat (possible also Fri) if there is enough interest.
