3 TFF’ers fly fished the Lavaca River on Wednesday, 12/31/25. The strategy was to catch fish post front when the weather settled. We arrived to 37F weather dressed in down jackets. When we departed, it was 67F.
Fishing conditions were very good, full sun and calm winds. The bite was very slow all day. A handful of speckled trout were caught that would only make a Cajun proud.
