I would recommend returning to a full $1000 donation to Reel Recovery. The November cancer retreat in Navasota was filled up and a huge success.
I would also recommend donating $1000 to Good Fly. It is a very worthy non-profit.
After the governments lockdowns we have had a reduced budget over 4 years ago. Some of the things we once supported financially, we just are no longer able to. If something that a TFF member in good standing is passionate about (enough to take the lead) and follows our tenants: “Promotion of fly fishing education, conservation, and outdoors ethics.” (https://texasflyfishers.org/about/) I personally try to support the idea, organization, or event, during the leadership meetings. Sometimes I am outvoted, but not often.
