Made a trip to a friend’s farm and had a chance to play around in his three small ponds.  Lots of shore casting on a cloudy, rainy day.  Went thru a lot of flies till I found a couple that worked….reverted back to the trusty #12 yellow spider, #6 diving frog, and a # 10 crawfish pattern.  Lots of fun, and managed to pull a 22″, 6lb bass with the crawfish pattern, using my 1 wt fly rod built at the TFF rod building class.
