Due to the weather, the Mini-Expo scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2017 has been cancelled. Also, the Tuesday, August 29, 2017 monthly meeting has been cancelled.
The next monthly meeting will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Details regarding the September monthly meeting will be posted before the meeting.

Notice: The Monthly Meeting for Tuesday, August 29, 2017 Has Been Rescheduled
The regularly scheduled monthly meeting, at Bayland Community Center for Tuesday, August 29, 2017, has been cancelled. In its place, the Mini-Expo scheduled for Saturday August 26, 2017 will serve as the club’s monthly meeting for August 2017. Details regarding the Mini-Expo can be found on the club’s web site. Come to the Mini-Expo you will have a fun filled day!
League City Tying Team, rescheduled
Cabela’s is proud to host the League City Tying Team, made up of members from the Texas FlyFishers, Fly Fishers International, and other local anglers. Come join the group at the table and learn about methods, techniques, and tools, as it relates to tying fish for our local Texas waters. Talk around the table almost always gets into fishing, so feel free to ask questions.
The theme for September 24th is “Redfish flies.”
We will have room for a dozen or so tyers, with room for others to join in.
Start time is 2:00pm and we plan to tie until about 4:00pm held at
Cabela’s @ 2421 S Gulf Fwy., League City, TX 77573
Let “Puck” know if you would like to join in. A good headcount ahead of time will make sure we have enough “stuff” available.
CANCELLED Summer Fly Fishing Expo, 26th August, 2017
Mark your calendar for the 9th Annual Texas FlyFishers Mini Expo on Saturday, August 26th. The venue for this year’s event will be held at the Terrace United Methodist Church, 1203 Wirt Road, Houston, Texas 77055 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and it is open to the public.
Texas FlyFishers will showcase:
- Fly Casting Demonstrations and Instruction
- Fly Tying Demonstrations and Instruction
- Wildlife carvings by Jim Lowdermilk
- Displays and presentations on various facets of fly fishing
ADMISSION AND PARKING ARE FREE!!
When: Saturday, August 26, 2017 – 9am-4pm
