Trip Description: Fishing can be really good; it can also be very slow. Best time is early in the morning. Kayak friendly…it will be a good paddle.
Cost: $7 payable to the park upon entrance
Important items:
- Lunch, Water, snacks • Sunscreen and Mosquito Repellent • Hat, Polarized Glasses • First Aid Kit • Drinking water!
Recommended Equipment:
Kayak or canoe
3-7 wt rod
Recommended Flies:
Diving frogs, Swamp Monsters, Woolly Buggers, Squrats, Clousers,etc

Save the Day Passes
Many parks fill to capacity on weekends and holidays. Pre-purchase a day pass and guarantee your entry and parking. Day passes are:
Guests may enter the park anytime between 6AM to 8PM even with a 3:00-8:00 pass.
Valid until 8 p.m., unless the park closes earlier.
Available up to 30 days in advance.
Not transferrable to another person or park.
Also sold at the park, if available.

Driving Directions
From Houston: Take IH-45 North to exit 109. Turn left on Park Road 40. The park is 6 miles South of Huntsville.
