A trade? Boat for some carping knowledge

A trade? Boat for some carping knowledge

Type: Kayak  ·  Outing date: Sunday, November 8, 2026  ·  Where: TBD  ·  Water: Freshwater

Silent member for a while here; love this new feature:
I'd like to do some sight casting at carp, but don't really have the know-how to spot them, I guess. (I'm also pretty new to fly fishing in general)
I'd love to hook up with some people that know what they're doing, and want to get after some mud tarpon.
I have a jon boat that can seat 2-3 comfortably, while we take turns casting? More people are welcome to join in their kayaks/paddleboards. I like to keep my boat freshwater, however I do have a kayak also.
Would love to find these on Lake Houston? Other nearby freshwater fisheries? The river under the Lake Houston dam?

I have next weekend open, and am generally open (weekend mornings) to go rip some lips. I'm open to targeting bass, as well.
