◾If you are boating or kayaking, inform the trip leader of your float plan if planning to fish alone or longer then the designated times.
◾Sign in and sign out at the launch site. Inform the trip leader if you will be launching in a different place.

San Marcos River Trip with- Kevin HutchisonIf you have ever thought about floating the San Marcos this is the trip you should sign up for. The flow is great and the level has never been better. Kevin is planning on floating the section between Spencer Canoe / Shady Grove Campground ((512) 357-6113 ) down to the town of Staples. This is a long run but with the flow being what it is he thinks it will be perfect. Plans are to meet at Spencer Canoe at 8:00 am and run our shuttle by 8:30. Kevin will arrange the shuttle. There will be a $5.00 per car parking fee for each vehicle. Based on getting started at 8:30-9:00 we should be off the water around 5:00 pm.So, all you need to do is sign up now on the Texas FlyFishers website, then e-mail me to let me know what size T-Shirt you wear and if you would like to rent one of Kevin’s boats, I’ll take care of the rest.Those signing up after July 31st will not be guaranteed flies nor a commemorative t-shirt.c: 713-822dash zero zero 69

◾Each person that signs up for this trip will receive a brand spanking new leader, a dozen San Marcos flies (in a new fly box) and a special commemorative t-shirt, printed special for this event courtesy of Kevin. The fee for this unforgettable trip will be $20.00 per person. Kevin also has available three canoes and two, one man, sit on top, kayaks which he will generously rent at a deep discounted rate of $15.00 per boat. These boats will be available on a first come first serve basis but if they are all gone I have other sources.

◾The San Marcos trip is on for August 8th and the river should be in great shape. The Memorial Day flood, as we all know, was epic and has changed the look of the river but Kevin has floated it a few times since then and all the major obstructions have been removed by either Mother Nature, the local paddling clubs or by Kevin himself and his trusty chain saw.
