South Llano River float trip, 2022 (20-22 May)

Gathering for lunch

Limited to 7 spots in the cabins.  Deposit for lodging locks the spot.
Tent camping is still available, and encouraged.

I don’t plan to send the E-vite out, but it is active.   Please use it, as it makes it easier for me to keep a headcount. See below to reserve your spot in a cabin.  River conditions need to be checked a few days before the event.

Start Time:  Friday afternoon 1500

End Time:    Sunday at noon, or as close to it as we can get.

Trip Description:  See below…

Day 1: The first meeting of the trip will be at: Bon Ton Roulet Cabins, 171 KC 150, Junction, Texas, 76849

We’ll meet at this area getting our casting skills honed, and practicing with various flies.  Potluck at the grill for dinner at our camp.

Day 2:  Launch from second crossing US-377 down to KC150.  This is just a little over 3 miles of water, and is very easy to get a lot of good fishing in.
Start:  30.362156, -99.889391  End:  30.393194,-99.88180

Livery will be a DIY again this year. Pot luck dinner Saturday night. Day 3: First crossing bridge where the river crosses US 377. We will fish downstream to the second crossing. Or we could retrace our steps from day 2.

  1. Hey Puck. FYI….Myself, Paul Robertson, Steve Edwards, and Steve Tomlinson have made camping reservations at the State Park but will be joining the group for all activities. The camping area at Bon Ton Roulet has been rather primitive for the last 2 years due to lack of maintenance, so we decided to go to the park for better amenities. Tom
