South Llano River float trip, 2021

Limited to 8 spots in the cabins.  Deposit for lodging locks the spot.
Tent camping is still available, and encouraged.

I don’t plan to send the E-vite out, but it is active.   Please use it, as it makes it easier for me to keep a headcount. See below to reserve your spot in a cabin.  River conditions need to be checked a few days before the event.

Start Time:  Friday afternoon 1500

End Time:    Sunday at noon, or as close to it as we can get.

Trip Description:  See below…

Day 1: The first meeting of the trip will be at: Bon Ton Roulet Cabins, 171 KC 150, Junction, Texas, 76849

We’ll meet at this area getting our casting skills honed, and practicing with various flies.  Bratwurst on the grill for dinner at our camp.

Day 2:  Launch from second crossing US-377 down to KC150.  This is just a little over 3 miles of water, and is very easy to get a lot of good fishing in.
Start:  30.362156, -99.889391  End:  30.393194,-99.88180

Livery will be a DIY again this year. Pot luck dinner Saturday night. Day 3: First crossing bridge where the river crosses US 377. We will fish downstream to the second crossing. Or we could retrace our steps from day 2.

  1. I will attend. I have used the donation link that Ted developed for the Live auction to make my $25 deposit thru PayPal.

I would suggest that Ted moves that link to the Club’s main page and relabels it for use for situations like this. I find it more efficient than the USPS.

  2. I’ll bring:
    2 bags of wood
    Fire and coffee box
    Paper plates and cups
Friday night: Beef stroganoff and box of red wine
    Saturday: an Appetite

  3. I will bring a side for Fri (cole slaw or potato salad) and wine
For Sat, Red Beans and Rice.

Will bringa camping table for outside near the fire ring.

  4. I will have to leave right after fishing on Saturday so will not be part of the dinner crowd.
