Texas FlyFishers of Houston Event:  Kayak/Canoe/Motorized Boat – Lake Bastrop (Bastrop, Texas)

Trip Description:  Fish Lake Bastrop Fri, Sat, and Sun.  Kayak, canoe, or motorized boat.  Two ONE airstream a/c trailers is reserved for Fri and Sat night, and that trailer is full.  (Lady Bird-spot #60) Day trippers and tent campers are welcome.   We will meet at 630am Fri and Sat at Northshore boat dock.  See below for food arrangements.  Bass and perch.

Start Time:  I will be at the boat ramp at 630am on Fri – Sat to launch.  Park gate opens at 6 am.  I have reserved two one (1) airstream trailers for Fri and Sat night. Trailer has ac, and is equipped with two queen beds.  (I have changed to ONE trailer)

Trip Description: Kayak/Canoe trip.

We will fish Lake Bastrop on Fri, Sat, and possibly Sun morning.  I have reserved one airstream trailer (Lady Bird #60) at Lake Bastrop North Shore Park for Fri and Sat nights.  (Sept 28-29)  My plan fish in the morning/afternoon on both Fri and Sat (and possibly Sun morning)….explore the whole lake.  If you are not interested in camping overnight, come and join us for Fri or Sat for the day.  Meet at the Northshore Park boat ramp at 630am both days.

I have rented one of the campground “Airstream” trailers for Fri and Sat nights.  (Blue Lacy)  The trailer has two queen beds, and can accommodate four (4) people.

The total (two day) cost for a spot in the trailer is $125.   We will “share” dinner duties (most likely pot luck style), and leave breakfast and lunch up to the individuals.

Several of us made a day trip to Lake Bastrop earlier this year, and the lake is very fishable via kayak, canoe, or boat.  All are welcome.

Cost: $7 payable to the park upon entrance, plus $125 to me if plan to stay in the trailers.

Dinner:  Pot Luck both nights.  John E will bring Shrimp Jambalaya for Fri, and Patti will have chicken/potatoes dutch oven treat for Sat.  PLEASE bring a side dish if you plan to attend.
