Trip Description:  Take a free, fun, hands-on instructor training workshop (4-6 hours). Learn to teach fishing basics to children and adults in your community.

Pre-registration is required BEFORE the workshop:

Step 1: Use your phone, iPad or computer to register for the TPWD “Angler Education Instructor Training Pending – statewide” Opportunity at https://bit.ly/2GZPGa6 (Select the blue Sign-Up button)

For new TPWD volunteers: click on the blue “Apply to become a volunteer” link at the bottom and follow the prompts to create a volunteer profile.

Please remember to authorize and complete the Criminal Background Check section. All fields must be completed including your date of birth and Driver’s License number.

For current TPWD volunteers: Enter your TPWD User ID and password and click on the blue “Log In” button

Step 2: Call or email the workshop leader with your TPWD Volunteer User ID, first and last name, and contact info. The workshop leader is Terry Smith, TPWD Volunteer Angler Education Area Chief/Trainer.

We need to have a minimum of 12 people to bring a workshop to your club. Please send the email below out to your club members, ask them to create a profile and email me that they are attending on Saturday. Greg and I will let you know how many we have heard from on Thursday evening and we can make a decision at that time if the course will make or if we need to reschedule. “
