Trip Description: Join us for the annual chance to capture the John Scarborough Sunfish Spectacular Trophy and a decent feed on Saturday the 27th of April (date is confirmed) at Damon Seven Lakes. Fishing from the shore, but float tubes and kayaks are quite successful. Camping the night before is available, and is encouraged. We have permission.

Our volunteer (need one.) will be set up with a sign-in station at the warehouse building from 0700-0900. If you come in after 0900, chase down the sound of “Fish on!” to get signed in and squared away.

Canoe, kayak, or kickboat, (These are not needed, but it is a good time to try stuff out)

Recommended guidelines for participants:
• Notify the trip leader if you have any potential concerns
• If inexperienced, then buddy up.
• Have proper safety equipment
• If you are boating or kayaking, inform the trip leader of your float plan if planning to fish alone or longer then the designated times.
• Sign in and sign out at the covered picnic area (to be confirmed).

The fishing is starting to pick up. Saturday, 2019-02-16, we landed 46 between the 3 of us fishing.
I am working on fly boxes for the participants. My plan is to have 45 boxes ready for the first 45 folks to sign up on the Evite link. Special flies, and boxes, to the cooks, KPs, and sign-in desk workers (5). If some of our group would like to supply 50+ flies, of one pattern, to the event, they would be greatly appreciated.
I’ll do KP cleanup. More if needed.

Bring your Air Force. Dragonflies should be out and can be Yvette effective. I’ve had good luck w/size 6 thru 10 dragonflies.

Slow day yesterday (2019-04-11). Robert stopped counting at 30. Puck and Nilo were trying to catch bluegill, but the pesky bass wouldn’t leave the fly alone. Between the 2 of them, they boated 46 fish, mostly bass
As of 2019-04-14, we have 15 signed up. That leaves 30 sets of flies unclaimed.
Wednesday, the 24th, is the last day to sign up via EVITE (http://evite.me/qvPbCFGKh6) I will pull the counts Thursday morning for food, and flies.
