Damon in November, report and pictures

30 people signed in at the event.  (Damon 7 Lakes in November)

The weather was perfect for fishing, but somebody forgot to tell the fish.   This was NOT a 50 fish day, as many of us had had here. at Damon 7 Lakes.  I heard some excitement on the water with the occasional “Fish On!” coming from all quarters.

The flies of the day, from the reports I got, were: White woolly bugger, Pete’s Gurgle Pop Popper, Sam’s one bug, Hare-E, and I’m sure there were others.

Tim B. was our volunteer cook, and lunch was served on time.  Hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill are always a hit. Of course this is when we got a true headcount (see Chris’ pictures below).

Bonus lunch items were oysters (grilled and raw)[Stephen O], bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos [Tim B], coffee, and other shared  beverages.

I don’t know who the cleanup crew were, other than Q and Mrs. Q.  but they have my thanks.  At the end of the day, which for me was after dark, all we had to do was load up the truck and roll out.

Most of us were back on the water after lunch flinging flies to every corner of the lakes.

The next club sponsored trip to Damon 7 Lakes will be in April of 2018.  Here is the link:  John Scarborough Sunfish Spectacular, April 7th, 2018
