Contrary to the name there are now nine different, unique lakes of good size that hold largemouth bass, tiger bass, catfish, black crappie, and bluegill. 1. I will need to check on the availability of camping, and we still need a few volunteers to cook, greet people, and clean-up.

I think we should offer this event up to the Texas council.

    Thoughts?

    • Puck,
Count me in on this one. I will plan on being there early. I am happy to work at the sign-in desk if you do not have a volunteer for that already. I also think John Slocomb will be attending.

I don’t know yet how many of the Fly Fishing Academy Students will chose to attend. We currently have 9 individuals and have made this an optional opportunity to get some hands on warm water fishing experience with John and I helping them. We will see how many decide to sign up.
    Best Regards,

    • Joe, I have a volunteer, but I can see Russell needing some help to get things started. If you could assist him for an hour or so, I would appreciate it.

    • Water levels were perfect last week. I am headed out there tomorrow with Steve to check out the water temperature and clarity.

  3. These volunteers will have their fees waived for the day. But I forgot who my other volunteer was 🙁
