I don’t know why I stopped tying this pattern years ago, but last week I was reminded, by a chunky small-mouth bass, just how effective it is.  Here is how I tie it:

Hook:  Mustad 9672 size 6
Thread: Size “A” rod wrapping thread, color to match bottom foam
Body: 1/8 ” foam, 2 colors, dark and light
Foam glue: Contact cement
Legs: Silicone bass skirt
Finishing glue:  Flexible cement of your choice (I use “booger glue”)

      I have a sculpin pattern that I’ve been working on that I will share once I get comments back from my “editors.”
