South Llano Float Trip, Saturday and Sundy, 13 and 14 June 2009

Two day trip to the Llano near Junction on Saturday and Sunday the 13th and 14th of June. Join the club for my favorite trip and an excellent chance to catch those wonderful Guadalupe bass.

Is that a 2 day drift with camping on the river? Or campground/motel that night?

It is a two day trip, with camping at the State Park; you could opt to stay at a hotel (we reserve tent camp sites for Friday and Saturday night). I was a first timer last year and had a hoot of a time, great group of guys, & lots of fish to were caught by all. A great place to bring a teen age son or daughter to fish. Cannos and kayaks are available for rent at near by outfitters with shuttles provided.

We select a meeting location and time for the group to gather at the park, no one get left behind. You bring provisions to eat on the drift down the river and camp site.

A few of the members drove up Saturday morning and fished with us, but it is a tuff and long day.
The Saturday drift is about 6 hours and the Sunday drift about 4 hours, we try to leave for home early Sunday afternoon.

Harry did an excellent job tending to the newbes. I am going again this year.

Harry will have more details of the outing about a month before the event.
