Hello, I'm Flyakker. I'm a flyaholic
« on: July 04, 2014, 02:08:24 PM »
Happy 4th, everyone! Looking forward to learning a great deal more! I have a small 15 foot bayrunner w/ and 85 outboard that I am restoring. It is still in project mode, but will be storing it near League City. Also, ready to pull the trigger on a yak! I am here to learn, and later to help others learn. I love fly fishing. I have two poles, a 5 wt TFO, and a 9 wt Reddington. I like fresh and saltwater fishing.

I am also a tech nerd, and I am in IT as a network engineer for a hospital.

Random fly fact: The first fish I caught was a bass in Houston, TX near the Galleria. I was practice casting in a retention pond of of 610. (I released the little bugger, don't worry!) I thought maybe a turtle had grabbed my line.

Hello Flyakker...

Welcome! Sounds like you're ready to join the fun! Looking forward to meeting and fishing with you. Always a fly fishing event on the calendar, both saltwater and fresh, and once you get that project boat complete I'm sure you'll never lack for friends!

Seriously, take a look at the outings and jump in! Best way there is to meet and get engaged.

Regards,
George
