Hi all,

I'm an avid fly fisherman that recently moved here from Michigan.  I've heard good things about this group from a couple people and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.  I've been a freshwater/trout guy until now but I'm looking forward to getting some saltwater fishing under my belt.  I'm also a tyer and would be very interested in any tying activities that take place.

Spend some time and look around our site.  Read some back postings on the trips we do each year and see what interests you.  We just had a wonderful outing to Port O'Connor to fish the jetties.  We had a blast.  Also we have numerous tying events all leading up to our fly tying festival each February. We teach fly tying, rod building, cast instructions, have approximately 24 scheduled outings per year, and much much more.  Welcome to our group.

Saltwater is my favorite and it quickly cir-planted my freshwater fishing.

I'd suggest joining one of the local tying groups.

Everybody has their favorite SW patterns.

Here are just a few on mine:

1. VIP popper
2. Redfish crack
3. Bendback
4. Clouser
5. Smack candy
6. Seaducer
7. Green weenie

Don't get me started on the FW flies for our area......
