Good stuff guys - learned a lot last night. While the Seaducer is a pretty simple fly to ie, the lesson is all about feathers. Capes vs saddles vs strung hackle, etc. Selecting feathers of size, comparing to hook gap, etc. feather "structure," i.e. webbed or not, and where and why either makes sense. Weed guards, and how to tie them (remember - not too tight to the hook).
A lot more than meets the eye in tying the simple seaducer...
Thanks for the lesson and the hospitality!
