Katy Navy fly tying, subject "The Clouser Minnow"
« on: January 22, 2014, 10:48:21 AM »
6 of us sat around the table after work tying this fly, using an original from Bob Clouser as our guide.

Mike Q.
Scott B.
George S.
Joe C.
Puck (me)
John P. brought pizza and wine, and was the last to arrive.

Hair selection, hook styles and selection, base thread, base yarn, glues, cutting and binding techniques, along with the old favorite "color selection"  were part of the round the table talks.  All of that combined with fresh pizza, rosemary bread, olive oil/pepper dip, and wine, made for an entertaining tying session.

I didn't take any pictures, but the guys plan to do this again.

Can anybody say "redfish crack?"

I wonder if we could get Andy P. to talk to the club about that one?

To fish, or not to fish?  What a stupid question!

Big time thanks to Puck for hosting and to John for the pizza!  It was a great way to spend a Tuesday evening.
