That sounds like a plan, Joe!

We will meet at Denny's at 7:15 - 7:30 and at the ramp at 9 AM.  Too doggone cold to be overly motivated!

I like fishing with smart people!

And no, I did not forget a word there...

Well, we will have pretty much same conditions Saturday morning. I am wondering if driving 2 hours one way is worth the effort. Seems like we will have icy conditions and many overpasses to cross. Any thoughts here.

A quick reconnoiter of the Seabrook shoreline and back lagoons says that this norther has blown the water out of the bay to about redfish island. I'm guessing the same at Bridge City. I think our probability of having fishable conditions in 18 hours is pretty low.

I'm thinking we push to next week in hope of better conditions, or call the day. Winter fishing can be great, but timing between fronts is the key. It will probably be great fishing next Tuesday!

Just my $.02.

Any other thougths?
Is that a strike indicator or a bobber?

Well, we can't do next weekend as it's the Fly Tying Festival.  The next feasible weekend would be the 8th and there's no guarantee about the weather.

Right now, Bridge City is showing sunny and 56 for tomorrow.  Yes, we may encounter shallow water conditions, but that's pretty typical of winter fishing.

I'm fine with postponing it until then if that's what everyone would like to do.

Please let me know what you think and I'll make the call by 5 pm today. Hell, the worst case scenario is we all meet at Denny's, have breakfast and decide to scrub it then.

After talking with a couple of the guys, I have decided that discretion is the better part of valor and we will postpone the outing until February 8th.

It's not too late to sign up for the rescheduled date next Saturday.  Come on and try out those new flies you'll learn to tie tomorrow at the Fly Tying Festival!

We are still meeting at Denny's at 7:15-7:30 and at the ramp at 9:00 AM. No sense getting overly rambunctious.....

Has anybody else see the forcast for Saturday?

Good weather to be a duck.

Waders, fleece, and wading jacket are in order for the current forecast.
