Naw, they pretty well block any fishing during hunting season. Their website is pretty direct.

So are you guy saying you don't want to fish out in the bays and lakes like we did last year? Some of the best fishing i saw last year was just across from the launch area. Seemed easy enough to paddle the shores too. What's up?

What pisses me off is the duck hunters are gone by 9:00-10:00am and don't return till it is almost dark.

No sense worrying about stuff. We are out there to have a good time and terrorize a few specs & reds (and perhaps Golden as well)... ;D

Me...I ain't sceeerd!   8)

George and I got new Duck Dynasty calls that we are bringing.  Mine sounds like a "rainbow" getting hit by an eighteen wheeler. His is a little more realistic...12 ga shotgun blasting an "art car".

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!!!

If you haven't signed up for Sabine, please do so. I'd like to get a headcount together.

Yeah it was a big Duck Dynasty Christmas... in addition to the duck calls there was some other pretty cool stuff under the tree. Check out the Uncle Si Chia Pet! Now who else has one of those?! Yeah, baby...Coolest thing ever!

Will be a fun trip regardless of what happens.

George

Let's plan on meeting up at the Denny's at Garth Rd & I-10 around 6:15 - 6:30 to grab a bite before heading out. If you don't want to meet there, just meet us at Sabine at 8 AM.

I've got a question...if they were fishing from Texas 3 sports + 1 Capt'n right? There are fourteen redfish in that picture...right.  I believe the Capt'n is not allowed to add to the sports limits any more in Texas...right? Er they must have been fishing the La side.  What ..their limit would be five no bigger than 27"...right. I'm guess'n one of those bigger reds was 26 15/16" right!

Hey it's been awefully quiet 'round these parts...we are still going huh. It will be colder than ... Supposed to be partly sunny low of 38 high of 60! Let's plan on being on the water around 9:-10:00am

Mike, If you look a little closer, there appear to be 15 redfish. Good for LA, not so much for TX, if you are just 3 sports.

Just because we are meeting up at the ramp at 8, doesn't mean we can't drink coffee for an hour until it warms up! Like I said, Pavon, Puck & I will be at the Denny's at Garth Rd around 6:15 - 6:30 for breakfast. Anyone who wants to join us, come on.

So far we have seven brave souls signed up for this. Don H. is still having sciatic nerve issues and had to drop.  If you don't have a boat/boat ride, I strongly urge you to bring a kayak.  The bottom is very muddy and really tough to wade.
