Does anyone in the "Katy Navy" want to carpool down there?

I've got Bob S. riding with me.  Want to throw the barge on the trailer?

This may be a silly question but which route is everyone planning on taking to get there? I assume the Ferry?

It looks like I will not be making this trip either!!!   :'( :'(  I couldn't be more tied up if I was getting paid!  Never - I mean - Never get involved with an HOA and a golf course - bad mistake.

I'll see everyone at the next meeting

If leaving from Katy, and you get directly onto the ferry, with no wait, the ferry is 5 minutes faster.

Factor in the ferry wait time and we may see you Sunday.

No sign of rain or more importantly, lightning in the forecast this morning.

Here are some links, with the comparison.

Land route = 122 miles, 2hrs 2 minutes

Ferry = 99.2 miles, 2hr, 19 minutes

More miles, but less traffic, and wait time.

According to this link the ferry options are 5am or 6am. I think I will plan on taking the ferry route and get that 6am one as I am coming from the southwest side of town. I dont think there will be a big wait for the Ferry at 6am on a saturday?

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday. It seems, despite a tough bite, we all had a great time! Golden caught a few small reds and lost a monster (33"+). Puck caught several croakers and I think another couple croakers/hardheads/etc were caught as well. Kelley caught a nice 24" red, but he was tossing hardware to do it!  Big time thanks to Kelley for shuttling us from Stingaree's back to the marshes. Matt, don't forget to get your tire fixed!!

Next up will be the fundraiser for the fireman injured in the fire off the SW Freeway. I'll have details posted shortly.

Also, keep your calendars open for the Redfish Rodeo on October 19th!!!!  8)

Excitement at the launch area.

By the time the main group showed up Mike F. was on the water looking for the early birds.  You know, the ones that said they would be on the water at 0600.

Protected from the wind.  The water was slightly off-color, but fish were caught.
