The trip was great, because of the people in it.
There were 12 people at the campsite Friday night. Everybody was at the 25+ mile before sundown.
The wind was blowing at 15+ mph the entire day Friday and Saturday.
A lot of bait in the water, but not much was chasing it.
We caught a lot of ladyfish, and a ton of baby jacks with a few 4+ pounders thrown in to make things interesting. I saw a picture of Scott B's redfish, 34 inches. I'm looking for that picture, and more photos.
Skip and Mary-Kay had some automobile excitement Friday night.
By late Saturday our numbers had diminished to only 6 hopeful anglers. The winds died completely, allowing the mosquitoes to find us at about 0300 Sunday. The storms came at about 0500 morning, as we did what we call a "BUGOUT."
The last 6 of us made is safely to the parking area safely, only to find out that the "good" showers don't open until 0900.
My son is still talking about it, as he drives back to Georgia
I'll add some more detail to this later today. I am still trying to get some sand out.......
