Could someone give more information about put in and where we are fishing. I looked at Sabine Refuge which is in Louisana.

I am assuming we are fishing in Texas!

The west side of Sabine Lake is in Texas while the east side of the lake is in Lousiana. The lake is split in half. We will be fishing in Texas.
Talking with Sammy Lee (with photos) he caught a 20# red drift fishing the Sabine last week.

Mike,

Do we still want to all meet up for breakfast on the way out?

I in but, I live about 50 miles south of Houston. The breakfast spot needs to be on I-10 toward the east side of Houston for me to attend the feast.

No problem, Bear. That's what Mike & I discussed. I don't know the east side and haven't been able to find any suggestions for that part of town. Thinking somewhere between Baytown & Anahuac.

on edit: I have my GF calling her brother, who's a deputy sheriff in Anahuac to get some suggestions. I'll post some ideas later today.

Just got a hall pass from the rib gents. I'm in.

Anybody want to ride together? I'm up on the Upper East Side (Kingwood/Atascocita/Humble).

There is a Denny's Restaurant at Garth Rd. and I-10. Take I-10 East to Garth Rd. exit, turn north under freeway, one block. Open 24 hrs.

Denny's will be fine. Let's meet up there around 6ish for breakfast. If you can't make it then, we likely won't roll out of the restaurant until around 7:00 or so. Of course, if you don't want to caravan, just meet us at the launch site around 8-8:30
