We hit a weekend with no wind and fair skies and managed to make it out to a few of the close oil rigs.  Spanish Mackerel had bait pinned against the top and made for some hectic action on small minnow patterns protected with a trace of single-strand wire bite tippet.  Reds were difficult to find inshore, though we managed to stumble on a few schools over deep grass on a moving tide. Jacks were scarce.

See my buddy Ty Southerland's YouTube video from the weekend trip.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THxeLZaQmww  If the video breaks up during viewing, hit pause and let the entire video load before starting play again.
