Outing Information Only / Re: July Outing - Port O'Connor One-Fly

Unfortunately I wont be able to make this one either - I will be in California with work until that Thursday night and then my booys want to go some lego festival in Austin that weekend. I will be at Fence lake next weekend though and hope to fish POC sometime in July (avoiding the two crazy weekends).

...and Golden, don't bash on those active members of the club who fight hard to balance fishing time in between an expanding family and demanding professional lives. It has been really hard for me to make any of the trips over the last year or two because every single one of them lands on a weekend where something else is going on. Its just the luck of the draw.  I know Dan is in the same boat...talking of which dont worry about Dan's new boat...I will be helping him break it in any chance I can get.

Hey y'all,

I'll sit down this weekend and put together the first draft of the lodging/boat assignments. Keep your shirts on!  ;D

Yeah it is that time of year should go down on next moon phase. And with all of the fresh inflow...well that's not helping either. You gotta fish where dry land used to be to find a fish or two. It sounds like you at least found some fish. Good on You!

The way I see it Dan it is hard for us to get you to come fish with us now even if it is here in town due to your current litter's demands.  :( My advice is to relax and buy a good tarp for the new boat.  :o I figure it will sit way more than float. Once the kids are old enough to crew the boat and go with you then all of this changes.  By that time the wifey will be screaming at the top of her lungs "DAN...TAKE THOSE TEENAGE HEATHENS OUT OF THIS HOUSE AND GO FISHING!"  Mark my words Brother! ;D

Gonna have to miss this one unless y'all want to explain to my little boy why daddy missed his birthday.

Plus, I expect I'll have to run to Florida around this time to pick up the new sled.

Pictures from Rene.

I'll add these and other to the group dropbox, and finish writing the report, hopefully before deepwater reentry training at D7Ls on Sunday.

Puck did an outstanding job of organizing and directing this outing and I thank him for it.  Also, thanks again to Skip, Mary Kay, and Puck who helped me save a partial fly rod, fly line, and reel.
