Dennis, if some of the guys want to go in on a room together, that's fine. But as far the club going out and booking a place, we aren't doing that anymore.

Well count me out on this trip if the only fellowship will be meeting at Rio Raft parking lot and then you fish on your own.

Yes, Will fish from boat if I have too, but wadding would be more easier.. Bring a Yake and I will carry you to the fish around the pond..It's not to far from boat ramp a lot of good fishing this area. I can carry to yakes, an four people...So two will get into yaks an myself an other person will fish from boat and wade.

Fly Tying
Fishing
Stories told
Friends made

Held at North Toledo Bend State Park, Walter McLendon leads the event.

Directions from Houston

2907 North Toledo Park Road
Zwolle, Louisiana 71486

Rendezvous is the result of several fly fishermen gathering to fish and tie flies at the state park many years ago. After a couple of years of growing pains they found the park's group facility. And what a facility indeed! A capacity of 150 people in 5 heated log bunkhouses (30 beds each), a heated central shower and restroom building with nice night lighting on all the sidewalks and a large main log building with A/C, a commercial kitchen, dining hall, fireplace, a long front porch, picnic table and a large barbeque trailer out front.

We begin gathering before 3 PM on Friday when the park staff unlocks the facility. Families and individuals check in at the main office and ask for their FREE Parking pass for the "Fly Fishing Group".

More details as the event gets closer

If you want a place to stay, you'll need to make arrangements yourselves. We are not doing room reservations this year.

I recommend Maricopa Riverside Lodge.  http://www.maricopariversidelodge.com/

I prefer them to Rio Guadalupe.

Thanks Don, for getting things started. I would like to be the first on your boat. Is a kayak required or will you be fishing from your boat. If so I can manage to get a yak no problem. Knowing you, I’d better bring some conventional tackle to keep up with the H-man.  Hahahaha
