I need a trip leader for this one.  Don has to drop due to his surgery being moved back. I would lead myself, but I won't be healed up from my surgery by then.  Please let me know if you can help us out!

They are going this weekend.

Unless we have an electrical storm, it's on.

Steve Soule is originally from South Florida. I'd bet that he may have a few tips/suggestions for you.

It's always a crap-shoot. You do a great job with the sweetwater anyways.  If we get a break in the storms this weekend, let's wet a line some where. I'm getting cabin fever!

That would be great to attend, but the auction is that day as well.

Just to let everyone know:

I exchanged emails with Charles Osborne, our new webmaster, and he advised me that he has been in a pretty intense training session all week, but will get on to updated & revising the website shortly. Please be patient as he's swamped right now.

Outing Chat / Harmon Creek White Bass?
« on: March 25, 2015, 08:18:43 AM »
Was thinking about heading up to Harmon Creek with Tracy this Saturday. Think the sand bass are still up in the creek or have they moved out to the main lake? Looking for a nice, easy place for her to catch a few and for me to run the freshwater boat a bit.

General Discussion / Re: Sinking line
« on: March 11, 2015, 11:57:55 AM »
My first exposure to full sink was this weekend from my boat on Harmon Creek. It didn't seem too bad. Just needed some getting used to. I've played with sink-tip a few times off the Surfside jetty.

I am looking for a second line for my #8. You're suggesting a full sink over a sink-tip? I'm thinking about a line for use off the boat for deeper (4'-8') fish (e.g. trout) and perhaps for the odd surf or jetty trip.

Do you have any particular line to favor? In full sinking lines, Orvis Hydros HD depth charge is $98(!).  Their Access Type III is on sale for $49. I hadn't priced the RIO or SA lines yet, but I've generally tended towards Rio lines.  Not sure about sink-tips either.

Due to the apathetic response, the outing is cancelled.
