Only had one fish flash at my offerings. Saw more water snakes than you can shake a 5 wt at. Thankfully, I saw no water moccassins. Puck seemed to have the hot hand. After lunch, those that remained moved down to the old Inwood Forest gold course. I had to leave early as I had an obligation that evening to "The Leader of the Opposition" and her family.

Wish the grass would have been cut back, but I think a good time was had by all.  Thanks to Golden for putting it together.

Hope to see y'all down at Sargent this weekend!

Yes indeed. See ya there.

Golden called and said he did a little recon fishing today. The water is coming down nicely and should be pretty good by Saturday. Still not crystal clear yet. He got two fish today. One thing he did want me to emphasize is that the grass has gotten high along the banks and he strongly recommends long pants. He did see a snake or two today, including a very large water moccassin, so snake leggings/ray guards and boots would be a VERY good idea. Hope to see everyone Saturday!

Just spoke with Mike this evening. Due to computer issues, he cannot get online, either here or to answer emails for the time being. If you have any updates or questions for him regarding the outing, please give him a call.

I just talked to Mike this evening. His computer is fried, so he can't get online at all. If you need to discuss this outing or the Saltwater Prison Permit one, please call him. We are still meeting at the Citgo at the corner of Hollister & W Little York at 9 AM. There is room for everyone who is interested in joining us, so come on out!

And if the water is running too high, Mike has invited everyone over to his place to raid his icebox and beer cooler........right, Mike?  ;D

I'm Looking forward to the 24th as well. I'm still in!

I'll go pick up my new kayak this Saturday instead!  ;D

On edit: Bummer. They found some cracks around two of the scupper holes and have to get a replacement kayak, so I won't get it for two more weeks.

Hopefully, our freshwater hooley on St. Pat's will come off w/o a hitch!

George, you big sissy! Those snakes'll just give you a little love peck, that's all!  ;D

Keep your eyes open on some of the fishing websites as well as EBay & Craig's list. I have found some pretty good deals online for slightly used equipment.
