Looks like a norther is blowing through on Tuesday-Wednesday. High of  49 on Wed.  Temps warming back to 69 by Saturday, but 50% chance of rain. Still a long ways off for the weather idiots to predict, but keep an eye on things and dress accordingly.

Alan confirmed his place is good to go.  We probably should keep this in mind for next year.

That's a good point, Mike. Here is a site with several houses http://www.sargenttexas.com/rentals.htm

If people are agreeable to this, we can book a place if Alan's is unavailable.

We are still waiting on confirmation from Alan regarding his granny's house. Bill can't be there that weekend, so his place is out. We will need to assess the lodging & weather and determine if a postponement is necessary. I & the trip leader (Golden) will try to keep everyone apprised.

I will also have boat assignments up shortly. Unfortunately, I (and my boat) may have to withdraw if we postpone, due to my surgery.

General Discussion / Good group of folks!

I'd like to thank everyone for making my dad feel so welcome at the fly tying festival yesterday. He commented to me "I can see why you like spending so much time with this group. Everyone here is so nice!"

Made me feel proud and privileged to be a member of the club!   :D

Big time tip of the ol' Stetson to Chris and the folks who helped him for pulling off another great Fly Tying Festival.  Tracy and I had a ball and my dad even enjoyed himself!

If a Louisiana fisherman has a valid LA license and is 65 and older, they're ok. See (d)3.

This seems to be a good idea for rod holders on a boat. I'm going to give it a try:

Outing Information Only / Re: Chocolate Bayou - Postponed until May 30
« on: January 26, 2015, 07:29:17 PM »
Due to the flood of fresh water into the bayou as well as the expected rains this weekend, Don is recommending and I agree that we postpone the outing until May.

We will substitute this outing in lieu of Brown & Root Flats as I originally has us going there two months in a row.
