Outing Chat / Re: What to do in November?
« on: November 02, 2012, 07:10:14 AM »
We are pulling together an out at Sabine on November 17th. This will be a kayak outing. We will be able to hit the area around the Lower Neches Wildlife Management Area. This will be a great time to fish the Sabine & Neches areas without the worry of toothy reptiles (and I don't mean the elected ones!). Mike will have details & a signup sheet posted shortly. It's an opportunity to pre-burn those Thanksgiving calories! Hope you can make it out!

Actually, the sunrise was Saturday morning after you rudely dismissed my morning serenade!!  ;D

Outing Chat / What to do in November?

We don't have anything on the calendar that I'm aware of for November.  Do any of you salties want to get together? I was thinking somewhere not too far from home, but am open to suggestions. Maybe the marshes on Bolivar or around GISP? ANWR? I just would like to wet a line with some friends.

That was a great time this past year! I don't see a conflict on my calendar as of now.

Spoke to Jack K last night. He's going to Rockport this weekend.

I need a list of people interested in lodging by this afternoon so I can call Merle at Pequod House and make reservations. So far, I just have George & me. It's $25/night for the rental per person. Let me know ASAP.

I'm game for this weekend but I need a ride. If you are planning on going, please post on here if you have a boat or need a ride and if you need a place to stay,. I'll see if I can't get the Pequod House (trailer) where we've stayed previously if there is enough interest. Let me know asap.

Don,

We are ALWAYS looking for guys with boats to fish with, especially the club outings! I guarantee you won't fish alone for long with this group! Check out the Saltwater outing area.

Welcome aboard!

Spoke with Jerry Loring this evening. He has family things that weekend and can't make it.

Mike,

You might add Jack to the list. He signed up on the 25th according to the sheet. If he is bringing his boat, he will have room for one or two if the spaces aren't already reserved.

Downloading the PDF is fine and dandy for submitting the entry. Mike still needs the on-line sign up form so that he can match boats and people. We really need that page back up for this as well.

If it's the 27th-28th, I'll be down at Aransas Pass on a trip with Dean Thomas

Would love to go, but we are celebrating my dad's 77th birthday this weekend. Don't know how many more he is gonna have, so I'd better make the most out of the ones he does have.

No problem! It was a gorgeous morning and a fun time. Great call on going back to the topwaters. I learned something that morning!
