I am thinking that those up there Friday evening could meet at Lucky's for dinner. I don't think Tracy & I will be there in time.

For Saturday, where would everyone like to eat? Genaro's is always very popular, but we could try somewhere new like Oma's or the Gristmill. Please let me know what you would like. I will make reservations about a week - ten days out.

Thanks

Dennis, if some of the guys want to go in on a room together, that's fine. But as far the club going out and booking a place, we aren't doing that anymore.

I'll bring my kayak.

If you want a place to stay, you'll need to make arrangements yourselves. We are not doing room reservations this year.

I recommend Maricopa Riverside Lodge.  http://www.maricopariversidelodge.com/

I prefer them to Rio Guadalupe.

From Don:

"Date 31 Jan 2015, Time: 10-am to 3pm

Here is some info on this tournament... This will be my first time leading a tournament, Your support will be welcomed... This tournament will be bragging right ,unless some one comes up with a some prizes..  The Name of tournament will be call the "Grand Slam Tournament" , your three fish stringer would include : a trout, a red, a flounder. If a Grand Slam is not caught, the "heaviest" stringer wins, followed by 2nd and 3rd only one of each species of fish will be weighed in.  Heaviest is determined by Photo of fish with measurement.
Know one may fish alone... for safety, an you will need proof of you catch...

Loction:  Chocolate Bayou Boat Ramp
GPS  29,21180, -95.208719

Driving  from Houston...go to 45 South towards Galveston,,,exit 646, follow 646 to FM 2004..turn right on 2004 and drive until you see a chemical plant one right...watch your speed.... passed the plant go over bridge and take a right to boat ramp under the bridge... Boy scouts build a fishing cleaning stationed... on ramp area..  No  stores in area, so you need to get all your supplies before you get to boat ramp.... GRTU will be stocking the Guadalupe on Saturday the 6th. They will be stocking the lower end of their range on the river. Please respect their efforts on our outing. We really don't need to chase fish that have just been released less than a few hours before. We have several places to fish away from the stockings that have plenty of fish.  Joe Chauffe & I fished the river yesterday and today. We saw plenty of fish but as was the case with everyone we talked to, we had no takers.

Couldn't you glue them with contact cement or another flexible adhesive before cutting the body out?

TPWD will still likely be stocking as well.

Wish you could make it too, Bear. We'll miss you.

I'll bring my wading staff to the one-fly so we can fall all over Hades together!!  ;D
