Dave,

I suggested that Gary E get hold of you regarding a room. Don't know if he needs one, but he just contacted me about coming down. PM me if you need his number.

That's what I heard at Damon 7 Lakes this weekend as well. There had been rumors for several weeks that they were failing. Sadly, I guess they were true. I hate to see anyone lose their business.

Finn is correct.  Columbus (or LaGrange) might be fun, but we couldn't do it the 3rd due to the auction. Perhaps 10 May?

I want to give a HUGE thank you to Harry for taking the time to work with Tracy on her casting. To celebrate, we went out today and bought her an Orvis 5wt combo. Looks like we will have company on some of our bayou bashes!

Here is the spreadsheet with rooming & boating arrangements.  We currently have one spot in a boat, but the lodging is pretty well full up. We can get a hotel room at the Fish Tail Inn for $95/night. Room has two Queen beds. http://www.fishtailinn.com/This hotel only has 5 rooms and they will fill up so don't delay if you want a room!

Well, the gang met at Ernie's too at 8 AM, too one look at the whitecaps trying to form on Christmas Bay and voted to relocate to Louie's Bait Camp  in Hitchcock where there was slightly less wind.  Unfortunately, even Tim & my sacrifices of fishing rods to the wind gods could not appease them. We paddled around the bayous to no avail and I was informed that the guys in boats didn't do any better. Afterwards, we retreated to Louie's where we consoled each other over burgers and beer. Thanks to everyone who made it out and I hope to see you on the 26th in Sargent. Please don't forget to sign up!

OK gang, I am pulling this one together now. I need people with boats (as usual). We will be staying at a beachhouse down in Sargent. This is a test run to check out the accommodations for a Reel Recovery retreat to he held later in the year. There will be a cost to cover the lodging. I will have that posted within the next 24 hrs as well as directions.  This can be fished with a kayak in the canals & creek, but I strongly recommend a boat. The boats & lodging will be assigned in order of signup.
