Well my Guadelupe experience has to do with ...well believe me it wasn't fishing!
Also very limited to where you can wade in without TU access.  The neighbors on the river "don't likes nobody cross'n my land."

Only FOUR signed up...You've got to be kidding me where are all of these flannel shirt, mountain khaki trout bums in our club Dave Lemke, Doc Joe, Slammin Adam, MR "San Juan" himself Marcos, and all of the rest of you guys who sit over there on that other side! Not to miss mentioning Mr. GOOD (not great) LOOPS!!!!! Get off your arses and lets MOVE IT! SIGN UP NOW! >:( >:( >:(

Wait a minute where in the heck is Ray Russ...Hey Ray don't you want to be the first Winner of both the salt and freshwater One Fly events?  :o

Although I'll be using Gulp's San Juan Worm attractor and a high-density poly-propylene 8 gr. corn pellet dropper on twenty-five pound florocarbon leader.  I can't lose! 8)

Jared I'm in if you want to ride with me.  I have room in my truck for a kayak or what ever you will be taking.  I am taking my outcast inflateable pontoon.  Sorry it only holds one fat guy and is not fast on the water.

MIKE AND I MET DOWN AT THE CITCO ON LITTLE YORK AND VENTURED OVER TO THE WHITE OAK TO SEE WHAT WAS HAPPENING.  YESTERDAY I TRIED AN AREA OF THE BAYOU CLOSER TO HOME BUT NOT MUCH WAS HAPPENING THERE PLUS IT APPEARED THAT SOMEONE ELSE WALKED THE BANK PROBABLY FISHING 'CAUSE I COULDN'T FIND A DECENT FISH WHERE THERE IS USUALLY PLENTY OF ACTION. SO WE TRIED UPSTREAM.

THE CONDITIONS APPEARED EXCELLANT 68 DEGREES AND CLIMBING, SCATTERED CLOUD COVER, AND LIGHT WINDS FROM THE SOUTH.

THE BANKS LOOKED GOOD AND WATER CLARITY WAS EXCELLANT.

HERE IS MIKE AT THE FIRST HOLE.

FOURTH OR FIFTH CAST THE FIRST OF MANY TO COME WE HOPE!

HE WAS USING HIS SAGE 3 WT. AND I HEARD HIM GRUNT INTO A HOOK SET! WHAT IN THE WORLD?

THE SHORE FIGHT, BIG SWIRLS WHAT IS IT?

CLOSER EXAMINATION REVEALED HE WAS HOOKED INTO A FAIRLY LARGE SOFT SHELL TURTLE. hahaha
SMILE!!!!!!!!

THIS PLACE WAS OLDING SOME FISH FOR SURE...AND IT WAS TOO!

CLOSE LOOK AT THE RIFFLE...YOU'D NEVER KNOW YOU WERE IN THE HOUSTON SUBURBS.

OK SO I DID CATCH A FISH TOO. THIS I PROMISE WAS THE SMALLEST.

OK SO HERE IS A CLOSER LOOK FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE JUST DYING TO SEE. AND YES THAT IS A MIKE ARNOLD CLOUSER

OK THIS WAS THE NEXT SMALLEST JEESE!

WELL ANYWAYS WE HAD A GOOD TIME BUT DIDN'T CATCH MANY GOOD FISH. DON'T KNOW WHY WE JUST DIDN'T.  SORRY ABOUT THE CAMERA FOCUS IT IS A NEW CAMERA FROM CHRISTMAS AND I HAVE A LEARNING CURVE TO GET BY FIRST.

Hey Mike I went down to that bridge location I first took you to, and fished all the way down stream to the deep hole. I caught one small 10" bass.  There wasn't a fish active that I could see anywhere.  But then I noticed foot impressions in the grass on the embankment that most likely were left from earlier this am.  I still can't believe there were not more fish to be seen.  Water clairty was excellant, flow was where you would want it too. I am thinking somebody came by and had a field day.  Call me tomorrow we'll go elsewhere.

NICE TRIP REPORT JARED, NOW YOU CAN SEE WHY MY BROTHER GUIDED THAT RIVER FOR TWELVE YEARS. THOSE "GOLDENS" ARE HYBREDS FROM THE MISSOURI HATCHERY WHERE THE FISH COME FROM.  DID YOU NOTICE THE SQUARE TAILS ANOTHER SIGN OF HATCHERY FISH.  NO MATTER WHERE THEY COME FROM THEY ARE A HOOT TO CATCH.  THE NYMPH AND DROPPER RIGS ARE PRECARIOUS TO THROW AND REQUIRE SKILL BEYOND WHAT I HAVE BUT THE STREAMER THING IS WHERE IT'S AT AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED.  YOU JUST MIGHT FIND YOURSELF FACING DOWN A 20LB. STRIPER TOO!!!!!!!!

GREAT REPORT AND HOPEFULLY I'LL MAKE THE ONE FLY AND FOLLOW YOU TO THE HONEYHOLES ;D ;D ;D

DOES THIS MEAN OUR TROUT AND REDFISH ARE GOING TO GROW TO A MASSIVE SIZE ...OH DARN!

Events and Information / Re: Dredge Dumping in West Galveston Bay
« on: December 26, 2011, 08:55:30 AM »
What gets me if a private individule was responsible for this he would be hanged in Federal court and made a scape goat for everything else wrong in the world!  But since it appears the feds are the culprit here...oh well yawn yawn.  Relying on an enviromental impact studies done back in the mid seventies when they were still free dumping PCB and heavy metals into our bayous and bays is a joke.  Balancing an mega ecosystem such as Galveston Bay is no easy trick and for our Corps of Engineers to turn a blind eye to what is going on is criminal!  But you know who has cut budgets that would directly impact the Corps work here.  In my opinion a Biological Due Diligence study conducted by a committee of local, state, and federal biologists should have been leading the way before any of this was approved.

Yeah he'll bring a little of the WESTSIDE culture to the SOUTHSIDE BOYZ! I know they have BIG plans for him but it wont be for awhile.  Bet he gets to work the fishing shows...that will be a lot of BUBBA's he'll have to contend with HAHAHAHAHA
