Puck- count me in for talking on Jan 31st. I can't yet commit to the other dates, but I'm interested!

So, what's the agenda? On January 1st, do we give a talk 3 different times, for 3 different classes in Periods 1, 2, & 3? Or are we speaking to one class, 3 different times throughout the next few months?

Whatever the hell happens, it should be fun. Just keep me posted.

Ciao!

Still need some assistants here.

Send me a PM here, or talk to me at the meeting.  I'll keep a running list.

And yes, I do know that the DERFTF is the very next day after our first presentation.  One of my staunchest supporters for this event is a major player in the DERFTF.

Mike Q. landed a catfish on that fly, yesterday (2014-01-04).  Another member of the club was going to join us, but got caught up in volunteer work.

 Redneck Etiquette - DRIVING ETIQUETTE

Dim your headlights for approaching vehicles, even if the gun is loaded
and the deer is in sight.

When approaching a four-way stop, the vehicle with the largest tires always has the right of way.

Never tow another car using pantyhose and duct tape.

When sending your wife down the road with a gas can, it is impolite to ask her to bring back beer.

Do not remove the seats from the car so that all your kids can fit in.

Do not lay rubber while traveling in a funeral procession.

Since I've been trapped at home today, here are the results of another modification of a simple fly.

This experiment didn't work out as well as I had hoped.

It is extremely fishable, but needs that "rubber band thing" for the rudder replaced, and has a belly rash.

From talking with last year's trip leader.

Due to the cost and the travel involved, this will be a bi-annual trip.

This means that we will skip 2014, and go in 2015.

This doesn't mean that a bunch of can't get together and make a trip up, but we won't have it as well organized as it was last year.

Cheetos and a 2 ounce lead weight.

When you find yourself in a spot that holds absolutely no fish. (Follow me. I know where plenty of those are)
1.  Spread the cheeetos out in the water to attract seagulls.
2.  Once the gulls start diving, attach the 2 oz sinker onto your tippet, and lower into the water.
3.  Act like you are catching fish, even if you see nobody around.  Don't let your sinker leave the water.
4.  Keep this up for 5-10 minutes, or until all the cheetos are gone.
5.  Paddle away and break out your binoculars, and watch boats show up out of nowhere.

Cheap, easy entertainment for those dog days of summer.

I got some in the mail.  I use them to pick out fibers when I'm almost finished with a fly.

Anybody else need one?  Barter system is in place...   ;)
